Five Must-Haves in Your Stag Do
1. Prank
You cannot have a stag do without playing pranks on the groom to be! Put him through some torture, if he can claim to hope to be happily married for the rest of his life, he can sure easily suffer some of the pranks you play on him. You could go for a truth or dare, or embarrassing question round all relating to his imminent married existence!
2. Booze
It is tradition to get really drunk in a stag night and who are we to defy tradition? Good booze is a must when you are having fun, make sure everyone has loads to drink and make sure everyone is drunk at the end of it, at least the groom to be is. Have games or contests about the fastest beer chugging, or maybe about the most beer chugging. Either ways, boozing is an important part of your stag do; try to limit it to non-throwing-up levels. Nobody likes a puke-athon!
3. Food
Loads of fun, frolic and freaking out require loads of food! A good male bonding and boozing party must have lots of good, unhealthy junk food to complement it. A barbeque in the backyard or food that you generally would avoid yet would love to indulge in is the ideal kind. In the entire madhouse party you would hardly have the time for a six-course gourmet meal. Save that for some other civilised outings.
4. Costumes
Increase the craziness quotient by making it a themed stag party and go with crazy and creative costumes. Dress up as gladiators or superheroes. All of you could go as James Bond and play baccarat. Make sure your activities match your costumes to increase the fun
5. Strippers
Either go to a strip club or bring it home. A stag do is incomplete without hot, naked women. Need we say any more?
Whale Watching in Puerto Piramides
When you want to go whale watching in South America, locals know where to head out to and that is in Puerto Piramides located in the Valdes Peninsula. Also known as the gateway to marine fauna, this small yet popular town with a population of less than 200 inhabitants has been a tourist destination in Patagonia, Argentina. The Valdes Peninsula, declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage in 1999, has the deepest salt deposits in South America and has the right features for sea wildlife to flourish.
The sea town of Puerto Piramides is known all over the world for its clear blue waters, softly undulating beaches with pyramid-like cliffs, powdery golden sands and marine fauna. Founded in the 1900s, it was the only inhabitable place in the Peninsula and its main livelihood was a salt port with adobe, wood and metal sheeting huts. All throughout the year, all kinds of sea animals can be viewed in the open waters. From June to December, the incredible southern right whales arrive in the seas and give birth. The orca whales come between February and May. And dolphins abound in the area all through the year. Other wildlife that can be seen in the area are wolves, marine leopards, cormorans and arctic doves.
Whilst is it a small town, Puerto Piramides is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure for various interests that adventure tourists may have: from scuba-diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, sport fishing, sandboarding, wild life photography, and coastal trekking, And of course, Puerto Piramides is the favorite spot for Argentina’s whale watching tours.
Puerto Piramides is accessible via Puerto Madryn where there are daily flights. There is also a shuttle available for tourists.
Options for a Kenya Safari
When looking into going on a safari holiday, there are many things that you should take into consideration to ensure that you create the perfect custom tour package to suit your specific needs. This can mean researching different National Parks and Game Reserves, looking into varieties of types of accommodation, selecting the correct tour operator and planning excursions and sightseeing expeditions which appeal to you. To give you a brief introduction to some of the choices available to you when creating a complete safari itinerary, I have put together this guide which should give you some insight into what type of Kenya safari vacation you would like to choose.
Choosing which National Parks or Game Reserve to visit in Kenya
When choosing which destinations you would like to include within your itinerary, it is important to do your research into each location and take a note of any that sound appealing to you and make a note of it for further research. You should also look at a map of Kenya which includes all of the National Parks and Game Reserves so that you can see the distance between parks so that you plan your itinerary wisely to ensure that you are going to make it to the reserves in time to get a chance to do some good game driving.
What types of accommodation are available to me whilst in Kenya?
Authentic camping – If you really want to rough out the safari experience, you can choose to stay in small camps in the bush. This is a cheap option, but it can be a daunting experience being in the bush with only canvas between you and a whole host of predators.
Tented Camps – Many people may think that staying in a tented camp means that you are camping, but it is an entirely different experience to that of camping. First of all the tents usually have a concrete base and are very spacious and luxurious, unlike your common camping tent. There will also be a nice restaurant and bar area that you will visit for your meals and refreshments – no waiting for a camp fire to heat up your pots and pans of food in these places!
Lodges – Staying in a lodge is the ultra luxury option, they are similar to tented camps in terms of facilities, but the buildings are crafted from bricks or wood to create a cosy shack like accommodation.
Selecting a reliable Kenya safari tour operator
There are many different tour operators available to you that can take you on safari. One of the main things to look out for is finding a reliable one which have good reviews and experience in the industry. Selecting a tour operator that is flexible to create custom itineraries and also only offers private safaris is also a necessity to get the most out of your vacation. Not all tour operators will offer private safaris, as some will choose to quote you for shared safaris, which may lower the price, but may also lower the quality of your safari as you are then going to be sharing your safari vehicle and experience with random groups of people, as well as having to use a set itinerary with no room for customisation or detail changes.
Which other excursions are available to me whilst in Kenya?
There are many other things you can do whilst in Kenya other than going on vehicle game drives, here are a few examples to get the ball rolling. Nature walks, or walking safaris, hot air balloon trips, mountain treks and even cultural experiences such as visiting a Masai tribal village.
Tips for Camping
Looking for an Aerobeds camping mattress? Camping mattresses most generally are thicker and more durable than what you would find in most air mattresses, which is necessary for it to stand up to the wear and tear of Mother Nature. A number of the higher-end home air mattresses will most likely puncture very quickly if placed on a sharp rock and may make them non-repairable. You may want to consider a self-inflating air pad rather than an air mattress if you aren’t using a tent at all as these are much sturdier.
When choosing a mattress one other thing to consider is how you will fill it with air.
Powered air pumps are included with most air beds today, but there are some that require the use of an electrical outlet and these may not work so well when you are out camping. While choosing a manual or battery powered air pump it is important to make sure that the pump matches up to the valve size and model of your individual air mattress. There can’t be a worse feeling than getting out to that ideal spot by the lake only to discover that you have no way of inflating your air mattress other than by lung power!
There are Benefits
Air mattresses come with some great benefit as they give enough space to keep you off the ground and insulate you from the cold. The bed can be easily cleaned of dirt and debris that gets in the tent and the pump can be used to pump up other items that may need air while camping such as rubber rafts. When it comes to camping and it’s time to hit the tent there is nothing wrong with a little comfort instead of cold hard ground to sleep on.
What to Avoid
Considering using an inflatable pool toy as a mattress is not a good idea, you may want to re-think that idea. Despite the fact that they are usually cheap, pool toys do not have the thickness required to withstand being laid on each night. To put it lightly you will be lucky if a pool toy holds up to one weekend performing the duty of an air mattress. It may be economical to start with, but overall you will spend more replacing pool toys that are being used as air mattresses for camping than had you purchased a camping mattress to start with.
